Company Description
Do your friends ask you where to eat when you go out? Are you constantly looking for the next exciting thing to do, see and eat in London? Can you look at a shopping site and find the best bargain in minutes? Do you have a mind for money and helping to generate revenue to fund journalism?

We're looking for a tuned-in
Content Editor with a focus on
What's On and Affiliates to join our fast-paced
MyLondon newsroom in the most exciting city in the world.

You'll be leading the capital's conversation on everything happening in town while also saving Londoners money along the way - and leading a team of top journalists too.

We're looking for fresh ideas and new perspectives from people from a wide range of backgrounds, and we want you to tell us the stories you believe are important from our many communities so we can continue to diversify our content.

So, who are we?

We are Reach Plc, you might not have heard of us but we have probably met without you even realising it.

We are home to the UK and Ireland's most iconic digital platforms, magazines and newspapers.

From the Mirror, Daily Express and OK, to our regional titles such as the Liverpool Echo, BirminghamLive and the Manchester Evening News (plus lots more), our brands and the stories we cover are as varied as our people.

We help all kinds of people share experiences through our stories because we believe this is what makes us human.

Oh, and we should probably also mention that with a monthly readership of 47 million people, Reach is the largest commercial publisher in the UK.

At Reach, not only will you feel better understood, you will also feel you understand other people better too.

You will curate revenue generating content ideas, working to revenue targets and adapting to changing trends and environments.

You will drive traffic to ensure you and your team meet MyLondon's traffic targets, looking for ways to improve engagement.

You will report on statistics and strategise how to continuously improve What's On and Affiliate content.

You will work closely with the wider content editor team to manage the homepage and publish content across social media platforms, newsletters, WhatsApp Channels and Communities.

Qualifications Who are we looking for?**You are an experienced journalist with an NCTJ or equivalent journalism qualification and excellent knowledge of media law. You are bursting with ideas for What's On, shopping and revenue generating content.

You have excellent people management skills and know how to motivate and support a team.

You have a passion for and keep a finger on the pulse of what's on in London and an excellent understanding of what MyLondon's readers are interested in.

You have a proven track record of publishing revenue generating digital content in a fast paced newsroom environment and can meet targets and deadlines with ease.
