We are currently seeking a motivated and talented individual to fill the role of Dental Lab and Implant Administrator. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing dental practice and lab.

Administrative Duties
- ensuring laboratory work is recorded in accurately in the appropriate IT systems and in a timely manner

  • Ensure the coordination of work to meet quality standards (accuracy and deadlines) To escalate to the Team Leader if timescales for distribution of correspondence will be breached.
  • To maintain lab filing systems both manually and electronically as required
  • To arrange the collection and delivery of lab work by the external labs.
  • Deliver Lab work/Implant components to the clinical Floors ahead of patients expected appointment
  • To act as a point of contact for the department or specialty, dealing with queries from stakeholders and passing on relevant information to appropriate team members as required.
  • To manage the implant referral and approval process
  • To maintain stock levels in the offices and report low stock to supervisor
  • To manage the weekly audits and report to the supervisor
  • To assist with induction and on the job training of new and bank members of staff.
  • To manage workload independently and handle queries from the external suppliers clinical and nonclinical staff in line with standard operating procedures


The Eastman Dental Hospital (EDH) is part of The Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals Division within University College London Hospitals NHS Trust (UCLH).

As a post graduate teaching hospital it accepts referrals from patients needing specialist dental advice and treatment in all aspects of dental and oral diseases

You will work as part of the administrative team under the supervision of the Admin Team Leader, and responsible for:

  • Carrying out designated administrative tasks under direction and with guidance, following agreed standard operating
  • Manage the flow of communication between the dental team and the lab technicians.
  • Liaise with external suppliers and escalate routine queries to the relevant members of staff.
  • Arranging the collection and delivery of lab work by the external labs
  • Ensure the accuracy and timely processing of all lab work.
  • Manage lab work inventory for on site.
  • Manage implant inventory and ordering process
  • Efficient preparation of patient correspondence and other nonclinical documentation. Including recording all laboratory work onto electronic booking system.
  • Handling incoming and outgoing mail, identifying correspondence that can be dealt with personally and taking responsibility for composing and distributing this correspondence.
  • Assisting and supporting (including cross covering) other administration staff within the division as required in order to provide a positive patient experience.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required, postsecondary education is an asset.
  • Experience in a lab or dental office/hospital setting.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
Familiarity with dental terminology and implant systems is an asset.
