A growing business based in Coleshill is looking for a Senior Buyer to support the procurement and supply chain process.

You will perform strategic procurement activities, build strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate and search for better dealsand to find more profitable suppliers.

As well as this, you will also support the management team in achieving performance targets, and maximising customer satisfaction and company profit.

Your working hours will be 09:00-17:00, working closely with internal teams to problem solve and deal with queries to ensure the customer experience is the best it can be.


As Senior Buyer, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining knowledge of competitors to strategically position products and services better.
  • Providing a firstclass service and maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times whilst keeping the customer/supplier fully informed.
  • Overseeing the enhancement of the overall customer experience by ensuring the team provide accurate and quick responses to enquiries. To build trust and confidence in the service offering.
  • Supporting internal and external customers with any technical, industry and product queries.
  • Supporting with updated costs and alternatives, ensuring customer order books are maintained and accurate.
  • Providing pricing, leadtimes and any relevant information related to new enquiries including Tenders and RFPs/RFQs
  • Ensuring information is given within the customer's timeframe and that all sourcing options are explored thoroughly.
  • Managing the supplier approval process to ensure consistency in delivery and quality
  • This is part of the coordinator's role with your support.
  • Building strong supplier relationships, consolidate where relevant and drive through cost savings to increase overall margin and improve payment terms for cashflow.

We are looking for a Senior Buyer who has the following skills and experiences:

  • Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Experience of managing/overseeing a Team.
  • Previous experience of working within supply chain.
  • Excellent supply chain and product planning knowledge.
  • An understanding of supply chain management and logistics.
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience of delivering the best customer experience.
