Role Purpose

  • The Inventory Specialist takes ownership of all inbound warehouse activity; managing disruptions, complaints and distressed loads in a timely manner to protect business continuity and limit any financial risk to Danone. The Inventory Specialist is also responsible for the investigation of and resolution to all logístical claims raised by our customers, working in close association with the warehouse and transport providers, customer collaboration and the IBS finance teams.

Role Focus

  • Main contact for primary hauliers ensuring efficient flow of goods by working to resolve inbound issues in a timely fashion (mitigation of service level impacts)
  • Escalation point in case of high impact issues or continuous improvement with hauliers
  • Ensures that customer claims are investigated and resolved quickly to prevent payment deductions or withheld payments for goods (avoid cash flow /ROP impact).
  • Builds momentum internally (with customer and NAM teams) to challenge customer behaviours that drive logistics complexity and costs (COGS and ROP impact)
About you


As a successful Inventory Specialist we would love to see you demonstrate:

  • Knowledge and experience on supply chain & logistics operations
  • FMCG experience an advantage
  • Plans activities in a systematic way; able to think ahead and consider different options to achieve goals
  • Skilled with Microsoft Excel
  • Conscientious and strong attention to detail
  • Strong relationship building / ability to collaborate both cross functionally and with external stakeholders
  • Acts with speed, agility and pragmatism
- driving performance with appropriate sense of urgency
