Working in our Security Department, you will be our first point of contact for all who come onto site.With this, we're looking for you to demonstrate a professional approach for the delivery of the required security standards on a Nuclear Power Station site.
As our next security guard, you will offer a polite, communicative and when necessary, directional and authoritative presence.For this position, we would look for you to strive and deliver work to a high standard, implementing a highly motivated work ethic.

Working as our next Security Guard, your daily roles and responsibilities will include:
- Manage effective control of access to site.
- Ensure integrity of site boundaries, patrolling of boundary fence, site, buildings, plant and the reporting irregularities.
- Meet company and regulatory requirements with respect to search and entry of people and vehicles onto site and into controlled areas.
- Respond to emergencies in accordance with procedures and direction from team leaders and in accordance with laid down emergency plans.
- Maintain security logs, key registers, search registers and other related records in accordance with technical training and company procedures.
- Undertake and record person/bag/vehicle searching in accordance with mandatory requirements using supplied equipment and resources.
- Monitor physical security alarm management systems, access control systems and monitoring CCTV responding to system alarms in accordance with technical competence training.
Who you are
Your personality and commitment will be paramount in this role so with this, we're looking for you to have exemplary people skills as this is a demanding customer-facing role.
Although previous experience in this line of work would be desirable, it is not essential as full training will be offered.
With this said, we are looking for you to be flexible with regards to working hours as one of the positions does come with shift work meaning you can work both days and nights when required.
Applicants will have to achieve Security Clearance Approval to SC Level prior to taking up their duties.**Join us and together we can help Britain achieve Net Zero.
