We are a leading metal spinning company, based in Birmingham, with a vacancy for an experienced Technical Sales Engineer.

The company has been established for 75 years and has been successful in developing a solid customer base servicing a number of varied industries.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and 'can do' attitude to contribute to the success of the business.

The role will include preparing and following up quotations, dealing with all customer requirements including liaising with production and all general administration duties and tasks as requested.

Whilst working as part of a small team you will also have the ability to work under your own initiative and be comfortable communicating with management.

The role requires reporting to and working alongside the General Manager on daily basis.

• Experience in engineering manufacture with a minimum qualification of HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
• A dynamic attitude as this is a key role, so flexibility and a strong work ethic are important.
• Excellent IT skills are essential with strong proven knowledge of Excel.
• Good Working Knowledge of Sage 50 would be beneficial.
• Excellent telephone skills with proven experience of customer liaison.
• General administration duties and other tasks as requested.

We are a small team so the ability to work under your own initiative is essential whilst having strong communication skills to work with our team, current and potential new customers and at management level.

This is a varied role and can be most rewarding whilst helping a small, hardworking team to maintain the high levels of productivity and profit achieved in recent years.

Hours:
Full Time Mon - Thurs pm (30 mins lunch) Fri - 2pm

Holidays: 20 days plus statutory.
