Powell UK are recruiting for a Senior Panel Wirer to join our panel assembly team.


Key accountabilities

  • Mark out, drill and fit equipment to layouts.
  • Must be able to read schematic drawings and identify components.
  • Be competent at stripping and crimping cables from 0.75mm to 120mm.
  • Be competent to torque power connections.
  • Loom wiring in a uniformed manner.
  • Work to instructions.
  • Work to process standards and operating procedures.
  • Capable of highlighting potential issues and suggesting rational corrective/preventative actions.
  • Capable and willing to transfer skills and knowledge to colleagues.
  • Responsible for achieving required output including productivity, Quality and attendance.

Communications

  • The Panel Wirers function is operated by several teams operating internally whose functions are interdependent.
  • Effective and regular communication between department members and internal customers is crucial.
In addition the post holder must engage in regular communication with:

  • Team leader and team members.


  • Engineering

  • LV/MV.
  • Quality, Health & Safety.

Employment & Educational Background
Our core hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
