Kitchen Assistant Opportunity - Immediate start

Part time and term time only.

Works alongside Head Chef and Kitchen Staff to manage daily kitchen activities, aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness.

Assisting in monitoring ordering and stock taking. Provides meal quality and consistency by following the Chef's recipes.

Job Role:

Able to follow guidance from kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
Ensures a firstin, firstout food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organised for quality assurance.
Keeps cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours.
Supports with cooking, setting up, serving and clearing for the daily service.
Support monitoring food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and minimises waste.
Good level of cleanliness and understanding of kitchen hygiene.
Works with head chef to maintain kitchen organisation, staff ability, and training opportunities.
Verifies that food storage units all meet standards and are consistently wellmanaged.

Food and Service Knowledge
Strong Organisational Skills
Attention to Detail

Food Safety Knowledge and Experience

Hospitality Skills
Positivity and Ability to Work Under Pressure

Able to Think on Your Feet with Minimal Supervision

Must be willing to travel to other locations for work (within a close distance) as and when the business requires.

Must be flexible and available to cover staff absence.

School kitchen experience would be an advantage
