A fantastic opportunity for an Export & Logistics Coordinator to excel within a busy and dynamic workplace.

This role is a temporary contract based in Inverurie and may lead to a permanent role at the end of the contract.

This role requires keeping to deadlines and ensuring compliance with legislation, procedures and service level agreements.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage all logistic movements in line with business requirements working closely with the relevant business functions
Coordinate with vendors on cargo delivery dates
Coordinates inter vendor movements as needed
Create manifests and relevant paperwork as required from client for shipments
Liaise with freight forwards on international shipments
Customs clearance of incoming shipments
Compliance checking of import & export entries
Creation of dangerous goods documentation
Inward processing relief tracking and paperwork
Export/Import entry filing/archiving
Coordinating data for 3rd party audits
Adherence to internal compliance programme
Leading efforts for establishing and sustaining continuous process improvement
Work with buyer to obtain acceptable rates with transportation companies, freight forwarders & crating companies
Invoice and delivery note uploads/checking/backups
Assist the commercial function on bid requirements
Ensuring any export discrepancies are fully investigated

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Track record of experience with import and export compliance
Dangerous good training for air/sea/road
Proficient MS Office skills and ability to work with different bespoke software packages
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Attention to detail
Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
