The Treatment Centre at Leighton Hospital prides itself on providing high quality standards of care and is JAG Accredited and an approved Bowel Cancer Screening Centre.


The department currently operates 5 procedure rooms with modern airy patient areas at the Leighton site, as well as a single room unit at the Victoria Infirmary Northwich.


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dedicated and motivated colleague, to work closely with the clinic prep and scheduling team, performing administration and reception duties based in The Treatment Centre at our Leighton Hospital Site.

Role overview


We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills who possesses a confident and pleasant manner dealing with people over the telephone and face to face.


Excellent organisational skills, as well as a keen eye for detail and an ability to multitask are vital in this varied and busy role.


Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides a full range of hospital and community services for people across East Cheshire (population 399K) and West Cheshire and Chester (population 357K).

Main tasks and responsibilities

Daily tasks will be varied depending on the service needs and will include:
Welcoming patients, family members and visitors at reception.

Admitting patients into the hospital system for their procedure, telephoning patients to confirm their attendance, booking appointments, dealing with patient's queries, preparing patient notes, printing and making up of procedure information packs, preparing the post, filing, printing and approving electronic referrals on the hospital system.

Being able to work on your own initiative and demonstrating good organisational skills would be of a benefit.

The post holder will be using The Trust patient recording system, E-referral, Unisoft, Solus, ESR and Office 365.

Flexible working is a requirement as evening and weekend working will be part of their core hours.
