Zenith People are working with our client who are based in the North-East and due to continuous growth and ever-increasing demand, have a full-time vacancy for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with Eplan P8 experience.

This is a newly created positionto complement the existing Engineering and Electrical design team.

Main Responsibilities

Responsible for the Electrical design of equipment for special purpose machines
Occasionally there may be other engineering activities to perform, however the emphasis of the role will be to create electrical designs using the Eplan P8 design software

The Person We are Looking for

Electrical background within Engineering
Experience in the Electrical Design aspect of Bespoke assembly machinery would be preferred.
Experience of creating Layout diagrams.
Extensive knowledge of Eplan P8 is essential
Knowledge of AutoCAD (would be beneficial)
18th Edition Qualification preferred
Ensure systems designs are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive
Able to work to BS EN (phone number removed). BS EN (phone number removed), BS EN 13850, BS EN 619 and other relevant standards
Good understanding of Industrial Networks i.e. Profinet, Profibus, DeviceNET, CC Link IE. AS-I
Produce electrical schematics according to IC (phone number removed):200
Project management, procurement, assistance to manufacture and production.

Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Thorough knowledge of safety procedures, legal regulations and guidelines
Excellent critical thinking and problemsolving ability
Be able to work to deadlines which may involve weekend or overtime working.
Positive, proactive and collaborative team approach is essential whilst also being able to work under own initiative
