UnaVista is the London Stock Exchange's regulatory reporting, matching and reconciliation solution provider. UnaVista customers include investment banks, hedge funds, brokers and other financial services firms.

UnaVista provides business solutions in the areas of:

  • Regulatory reporting with MiFIR, EMIR, G20 and other regimes
  • Provision of reference data (especially financial instruments data)
  • Reconciliations (cash/stock, frontback office, exchange recs, etc.) and
  • Operational posttrade services in the fields of:
  • confirmations communication and matching for multiple asset classes,
- communication of orders, hedges and give-ups for equity swaps and other derivatives

  • Analytics and surveillance of the data above
UnaVista provides a wide variety of products, each of which has a different suite of support documents. These have evolved over time in line with the product development and many are out of date. The Technical Author will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the main documents.

This will include the ongoing updates to include the newly developed features, along with period reviews of the set as a whole to implement broader initiatives, for example brand updates.

The current approach is based upon the MS Word based documents. Any experience in alternative document authoring tools which can make the process more efficient would be beneficial.

Enter the key responsibilities of the role:

  • Day-to-day maintenance of documents with new features. Taking input from the change teams and providing accurate and easy to follow information.
  • Creating a single product suite, stored centrally and consistent.
  • Periodic reviews and refresh of the documents, to present the information in easy to understand flows.
  • Ownership of central documentation initiates e.g. rebranding
  • Thought leadership on uptodate support tooling, which may include a move away from Document packs
Essential skills and experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be selfmotivated and have a desire to engage in process improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Must be able to manage short notice demand.
  • Be aware of alternative selfservice tools and best practices for migration to and maintenance within.
  • Must be expert user in Microsoft Word
Desirable skills and experience

  • Awareness of alternative document authoring tools
  • Experience migrating away from large documentation packs.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle
  • Work management tools such as Jira and Confluence
