Customer Service Advisor, Birmingham - Hybrid after 3 weeks training

Role:
Inbound Customer Service Advisor


Location:
Birmingham - Hybrid working after training, around once per month in office


Start Date:
January


Contract:

Salary:
£21,294 (£10.50 per hour) + Retention bonus at 3 and 6 months

Hours:
Full time, 39 hours per week

Shifts:
Between 8am - 8pm Mon to Sat (Saturday in every 3/4)

We are currently recruiting for Customer Service Advisors to deliver an exceptional service to our client's customers You will be working for an outsourcing company, representing a multi-utility provider, joining their customer care team.

You will give the company a voice, speaking with their customers and providing support and advice, helping to solve their queries and giving them peace of mind.

Within this role you will be dealing with some vulnerable and challenging customers, so you will need to have empathy, whilst also being a great listener and working well under pressure.


What are we looking for?

Our Agents resolve all customer queries first time - demonstrating best practice in terms of taking ownership through to problem resolution, ensuring the customer is satisfied.

We are looking for people with great customer service experience who enjoy resolving customers issues.
Previous call centre experience isn't essential, but desired - as long as you have the right attitude and empathetic approach


The role of a Customer Service Advisor will involve:

  • Handling a high-volume of inbound calls from customers
  • Making customer calls
  • Updating customer accounts accurately
  • Working towards and meeting business targets
  • Responding to customer bills
  • Dealing with customer complaints
  • Working as part of a team

Requirements of the role:


  • A fixed line internet connection with min speeds of 25Mbps Download & 4 Mbps Upload
  • A dedicated, quiet work area and work station this cannot be a communal space shared with other household members
  • You will need to reside within the UK, with eligibility to live and work in the UK

What do we need from you?

  • Good conversational skills with a positive outlook
  • Enthusiasm, drive and motivation
  • Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative
  • Previous customer service or contact centre experience.
  • We ask that your home working location is quiet for confidentiality, safe, and secure (a home selfassessment will be required).
  • Experience in a fastpaced, inbound contact centre environment
  • Adaptable to change
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service
  • Experience in utilities would be advantageous.
