We are looking for a
Technology Reporterto join us at the
Daily Record. This is an exciting opportunity to report on the latest consumer technology products for Scotlands biggest news brand.

You will know your Galaxy Z Flip from your Pixel Folds and be able to explain the difference in an entertaining and accessible manner.


Were looking for fresh ideas and new perspectives from people from a wide range of backgrounds, and we want you to tell us the stories you believe are important from our many communities so we can continue to diversify our content.

What will the role involve?


You will play a pivotal role in our plans to grow our affiliate content, by writing engaging and informative technology news stories and product reviews.

You will maintain a portfolio of evergreen content that will remain updated and rank well in search results.


Your articles will include affiliate links to monetise your editorial output and you will keep your finger on the pulse of the latest tech news and releases.

This role includes weekend working, this will typically involve 1 weekend in every 3.


Who are we looking for?
You are an
NCTJ qualified journalist or equivalent with media law knowledge and a passion for all things technology.

You are brimming with pitches for exciting new content and you have a keen eye for spotting trending content and products that you think our readers would be interested in.

You are keen to learn about - and test - everything from air purifiers to Airpods. You are a first class writer with an entrepreneurial spirit and in-depth knowledge of the latest gadgets. You have excellent commercial awareness and experience in crafting organic SEO content.
