Wellcome Collection is a free museum and library where everyone's experience of health matters. We are part of Wellcome, an independent global charitable foundation.


Today, Wellcome Collection brings social, cultural, historical, personal and artistic perspectives to Wellcome's work, informing the research we fund, interventions we support, and deeper understandings of health across society.


We are now seeking an dynamic and passionate leader to be our next Associate Director, Collections and Digital and to join the Wellcome Senior Leadership Team.

Reporting into and working closely with the Director of Wellcome Collection the Associate Director will be responsible for the development and leadership of lead the Collections and Digital strategy, to ensure that our collections contribute to our vision of a world where everyone's experience of health matters, recognising the vital role digital plays in this.

You will provide leadership to the expert teams responsible for delivering Wellcome Collection's Collections and Digital work.


The appointee will bring management experience in an archive, library or museum with responsibility for developing and managing significant, multi-format special collections.

You will have a strong understanding of the need for coherent digital services and of the vital role digital plays in driving increased accessibility to collections.


As a core member of the Wellcome Senior Leadership Team, you will be able to represent Wellcome Collection to develop links with stakeholders and partners both internally with Wellcome and externally.

You will have good insight into culture change and the ability to inspire others at all levels of the organisation.

You will have a personal commitment to and be a champion for champion the organisation's values and commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity and anti-racism.

Salary:
£81,109 per annum
