The Opportunity
Working within our growing HR team based in Jarrow, you will deliver a first-class service, helping to ensure the success of our UK and Ireland business.
As HR Advisor you will provide generalist support to our business, getting involved with day-to-day HR activities to provide remote and onsite support and advice to line managers and employees.
- Provision of advice and support to key stakeholders on HR policies, procedures and
- Act as a focal point for all stakeholders regarding any issues relating to conditions of
- Provide advice and assistance for all immigration issues, ensuring compliance with UKBA
- Act as a focal point for long term absence case management to ensure a timely return to work where appropriate.
- Support reorganisation, redeployment, redundancy and TUPE transfer projects.
- Provide support in preparation of Employment Tribunal documentation.
- Conduct Exit Interviews
- Provide advice and support on more complex compensation and benefit queries, including collation of insurance claim and renewal data.
- Undertake offshore and site visits as required.
- Support and assist with HR projects.
The Person
Experience:
- Previous experience within an HR environment essential (in the Oil and gas industry) desirable
- Previous experience of working within a unionised environment ( either on or offshore) desirable
- Knowledge of Working Rule Agreements desirable
Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent influencing/negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to influence, advise and coach
- Ability to deal with a highvolume workload and prioritise
- Extensive knowledge of employment legislation
Qualifications:
- CIPD Member essential or ability to demonstrate equivalent level of generalist HR experience
