The Opportunity

Working within our growing HR team based in Jarrow, you will deliver a first-class service, helping to ensure the success of our UK and Ireland business.

As HR Advisor you will provide generalist support to our business, getting involved with day-to-day HR activities to provide remote and onsite support and advice to line managers and employees.

Key accountabilities

Provision of advice and support to key stakeholders on HR policies, procedures and

employment legislation, including; Performance Management, Capability, Discipline andGrievance

Act as a focal point for all stakeholders regarding any issues relating to conditions of

- employment, salary, benefits and employee relations. Proactively case manage live employee relations issues.

Provide advice and assistance for all immigration issues, ensuring compliance with UKBA

licence requirements.

Act as a focal point for long term absence case management to ensure a timely return to work where appropriate.
Support reorganisation, redeployment, redundancy and TUPE transfer projects.
Provide support in preparation of Employment Tribunal documentation.
Conduct Exit Interviews
Provide advice and support on more complex compensation and benefit queries, including collation of insurance claim and renewal data.
Undertake offshore and site visits as required.
Support and assist with HR projects.
The Person

Experience:

Previous experience within an HR environment essential (in the Oil and gas industry) desirable
Previous experience of working within a unionised environment ( either on or offshore) desirable
Knowledge of Working Rule Agreements desirable

Skills:

Excellent customer service skills
Excellent influencing/negotiation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to influence, advise and coach
Ability to deal with a highvolume workload and prioritise
Extensive knowledge of employment legislation

Qualifications:

CIPD Member essential or ability to demonstrate equivalent level of generalist HR experience
