**Development Accountant - Contractor (Full Time)Milton Keynes - Hybrid working - Onsite & Remote
6 Months Contract**PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The role holder will work as part of the Finance Product Team to support key project/change likely to impact the Finance Department and be a technical advisor to Finance and their stakeholders for financial postings, calculations, modelling and reporting.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Initial assessment as to whether (project/product/programme) change might impact Finance Department
- Identifying who and how much involvement of Finance Department personnel requires coordinating (along with Finance management stakeholder agreement)
- Be a technical SME that is responsible for interpreting, translating and modelling the impacts of business changes within the financial systems and is responsible for devising new financial postings, calculations, processes.
- Ensuring that Finance Department personnel, particularly the Finance Management Team (FMT) are kept up to date with all pipeline change developments, project status updates and both current and future resource demand requirements.
- Devising and presenting recommendations wherever appropriate, especially adding value to decision making
- Support the management of identified risks along with the Senior Development Accountant and the Finance Management Team and so also to mitigate any potential risks
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified accountant
- Experience of driving and delivering organisational/process change with excellent organisational ability consistent with the role
- Previous experience of working on operational/transformational projects
- Finance professional with experience of credit products and associated accounting requirements
- Up to date awareness of regulatory and accounting legislation
SKILLS & PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS REQUIRED
- A selfstarter with a proactive approach and the ability to react appropriately and effectively to fast changing circumstances and demands, without losing focus on the balance between flexibility and control
- Ability to communicate effectively and present complex information clearly at all levels, to stakeholders with varying needs to influence and persuade others to make decisions through clear and effective verbal or written channels
- Delivery focused, high level of drive, selfmotivation, and a strong team player with a willingness to take ownership of tasks
- Ability to work under pressure in order to meet strict deadlines
- Strong problem solving ability
- Intermediate Excel, PowerPoint and data analysis skills
- Working knowledge of SAP FI, Credit Finance Contract Management Systems preferable
