Job Title:
SEN Teacher


Location:
Rotherham Special School


Working Days:
Full Time


Start Date:

ASAP

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering effective learning activities to meet the individual needs of the students
  • Supporting students with speech and language development
  • Managing challenging behaviour in a calm and effective manner
  • Building positive relationships with students and their families
  • Participating in regular meetings with the class teacher and other support staff
  • Working collaboratively with the class teacher and TA's to support students in the classroom

Requirements:


  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience working with children with severe speech and language delays and challenging behaviour
  • Confidence in managing challenging behaviour
  • Background working in a pupil referral unit or with challenging behaviour (preferred)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexibility, resilience and a positive attitude


This is a full-time role to start as soon as possible, with the potential for this position to become permanent on contract with the school.
