Your Duties:
- Conduct enforcement, investigative, educational, and advisory tasks to uphold environmental standards.
- Participate in structured development programs to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve service objectives and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Undertake project work under the guidance of senior officers.
- Manage workload efficiently to meet targets and deliver quality services.
- Provide accurate reports, records, and statistical information as required.
- Stay updated on developments in environmental health through continuous learning and development.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improving work practices and service delivery.
- Contribute to training activities and recruitment processes as needed.
- Maintain the reputation and public profile of Belfast City Council through professional conduct and exemplary service delivery.
Your Profile:
Essential Criteria:
Qualifications:
- Hold a recognised qualification as an Environmental Health Officer, including either:
- Certificate of Registration from the Environmental Health Officers' Registration Board, or
- Diploma in Environmental Health awarded by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) or equivalent.
- Possess a valid full driving license enabling operation in Northern Ireland and access to a vehicle for official duties, or have reliable access to transportation meeting job requirements.
