Your Duties:

Conduct enforcement, investigative, educational, and advisory tasks to uphold environmental standards.
Participate in structured development programs to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve service objectives and deliver exceptional customer service.
Undertake project work under the guidance of senior officers.
Manage workload efficiently to meet targets and deliver quality services.
Provide accurate reports, records, and statistical information as required.
Stay updated on developments in environmental health through continuous learning and development.
Proactively identify opportunities for improving work practices and service delivery.
Contribute to training activities and recruitment processes as needed.
Maintain the reputation and public profile of Belfast City Council through professional conduct and exemplary service delivery.

Your Profile:

Essential Criteria:

Qualifications:

Hold a recognised qualification as an Environmental Health Officer, including either:
Certificate of Registration from the Environmental Health Officers' Registration Board, or
Diploma in Environmental Health awarded by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) or equivalent.
Possess a valid full driving license enabling operation in Northern Ireland and access to a vehicle for official duties, or have reliable access to transportation meeting job requirements.
