The Conservative Party is looking to hire a team coordinator for the Outreach and Engagement team.
The role holder will support the members of this team as they coordinate activity across affiliated groups in the run up to the General Election.
The senior team members hold additional responsibilities, and the successful post holder will ensure that every team member can juggle their workload by being knowledgeable on the workings of the whole team.
Stepping in and stepping up as required.Responsibilities:
- Coordinating digital platforms as directed.
- Support the conference and spring forum programme of events for the team.
- Respond to requests from the volunteer engagement and mutual aid teams to get people to events as needed.
- Help with events as and when required.
- Help with the administration of the Friends of Groups including registration of groups and the management of enquiries from nonregistered groups.
- Manage Schools Day at conference.
- Manage diaries of team members.
- Make conference/spring forum bookings.
- Support work experience scheme.
- Work to the direction of other team members.
- Support the aims of Operation Mobilise.
Suitable for someone at the start of their career the successful applicant will be:
- Organised with an ability to demonstrate being able to manage a complex diary of meetings and deadlines.
- Confident on the phone and making requests of colleagues and volunteers verbally.
- Well organised, in person at events with busy schedules and in their management of work. The postholder will need to support others in their role and so need to show experience of good organisation and ability to prioritise.
- Open and accountable, this post holder will need to work with a group of more senior staff.
- Knowledgeable about the Party and it's aims; though not an expert
