This position is based in the firm's Leeds offices, offering a hybrid-working model and strong growth progressions within the Firm.

You will be provided an opportunity to grow your skills in the Insurance sector through providing and maintaining a good level of underwriting, underwriting risks in accordance with your own personal level of authority as regularly supporting a team of brokers through proactively managing their activity and supporting them in any of their queries and needs.

A strong role that can lead you on the pathway to an Underwriter / Senior Underwriter role,
as well as providing funding for your own CII qualification.

Some responsibilities will include:

Providing underwriting support to the business
Building strong rapport within the Technical team in Leeds, as well as the wider business
Diary management on a variety of renewals on behalf of the brokers, in order to secure and maintain business
Utilising strong IT skills to adjust to new platforms, including our broker etrading platform

The right person for this role will have some level of prior experience in the Underwriting space, with a relevant Insurance background.

What will be particularly advantageous in this role is a prior background in the firm's particular classes of business, though this is not essential.

Strong written, communication and numerical skills will also be of benefit. They will need to have a thorough understanding of regulations and methods.
