About the role:
To manage the designated claims allocation, by ensuring that claims are processed and settled on a Timely, Equitable and Commercial basis and are reserved accurately in accordance with their liabilities, so as to minimise the impact of claims on the Company's results, whilst striving to develop own knowledge/skills and improve service and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains accurate file by file & payperil reserves to meet the Company's liabilities in respect of all incidents notified.
- Ensures all claims allocated are controlled within company philosophies/procedures and KPI's to achieve investigation, negotiation and equitable settlement in accordance with levels of expertise/authority/responsibility of team staff.
- Provides support to TMHCC senior management with day to day staff development (i.e. 'peer review') to aid and supplement efficient progress to resolution of claims whilst encouraging motivation, teamspirit and customer/quality practices.
- Ensures customers are treated fairly at all times.
- Authorises claims payments in accordance with departmental limit of £X, as directed.
- Acts as liaison/referral contact for UW/Claim queries, providing claims support and expertise.
- Monitors and reports upon services/costs of external providers, so as to achieve best performance/value for the Company and to ensure they act as ambassadors of the Company.
- Attends and/or chairs meetings at TMHCC office locations and at broker or client premises.
- Demonstrates a willingness to work any such additional hours as may be necessary to fulfil the employee's duties, as reasonably required.
- Practises & promotes at all times TM Good Company ethos & TMHCC core values, to both internal & external contacts alike.
- Adhoc duties as reasonably required.
Key Requirements:
- Core curriculum GCSE (grades A-C) &/or A level
- Peferable 3 years 'Casualty' claims experience.
- Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal, motivational and communication skills at all levels.
- Enthusiasm, tact, diplomacy and flexibility.
- Analytical and numeracy skills enabling monitoring workflow and financial statistics.
- A developed awareness of customer care and quality philosophies
