Stable Futures is an alternative provision provider committed to providing a high-quality therapeutic learning environment for all our learners.
We are located in Mortimer, West Berkshire with a specialism of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EFP) and Equine Assisted Learning (EFL).We offer children young people and adults the opportunity to engage with our wonderful herd of horses.
At Stable Futures we consider our horses as our therapeutic partners and as such they are treated with the care and respect they deserve.
Our Alternative Provision service provides outdoor learning for children who are not able to access an education setting for several reasons.
In their time with us we work with them to achieve positive relationship building, vocational learning such as Equine Care, Animal Care and Stable Management alongside cookery and baking and arts and crafts.
We are an accredited AQA centre and registered with IOL.
Our site also operates as a 'working yard' so you will work alongside and on the same site as the learning farm.
This is a busy stable with daily groups of children, professionals, schools and families visiting the site to partake in activities with horses and therapeutic activities with animals.

Our services at Stable Futures are expanding in 2023 so we are seeking a highly professional and motivated person to contribute to the day to day running of our stables.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our team.
You will be expected to carry out all duties required to provide and maintain a high level of service to our clients and animals.
Personal and professional attributes:
Be passionate about a career with horses and take pride in your work.
An understanding of the therapeutic benefits that horses offer people living with mental health difficulties would be advantageous but not essential.
Be an effective and confident communicator, able to liaise with equine professionals (vets, physios etc)
You will be able to contribute to all aspects of horse care and welfare of the animals.
We are looking for the right person to join our excellent team.
This is a unique role in working on a site that has a mixed use of working with children and caring for our horses.
Experience of exercising horses to maintain good health essential.All general yard duties to include; mucking out, poo picking, grooming, feeding, clipping (preferably) and exercising.
Must be willing to look after other petting livestock including sheep and goats.
We place a lot of importance on looking after our employee's as without them we would not be Amegreen Children's Services.

Full Time 40 hour working week, to include some evenings and weekends. Will consider 2 x Part time workers
Salary:
