We have an exciting opportunity for 5 cancer support workers to join the Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) teams at Imperial.

These are new roles who will sit within one of the following specialties:
Upper GI; Lung; Urology; Heamatology; or H&N/Brain.

You will become a valued member of one of these teams of 6-10 Cancer CNSs within the specialty, supporting to deliver personalised care.


The role will support patients with cancer and those important to them throughout their care at Imperial, from diagnosis, through treatment to end of life care or living with and beyond cancer.


The main purpose of the Macmillan Cancer Support Workers is to support people to navigate the complex health and social care system during and following completion of cancer treatment.

The post holder will coordinate care by working collaboratively with the Macmillan Cancer Navigator Service to ensure all patients have a single point of access, including rapid re-entry into the system for those people identified as having urgent or specialist needs; and coordinate care, education and support for people with non-complex care needs.

The post holder will work within the speciality Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) team providing patients with personalised care in collaboration with the wider cancer team
