Description

As Coordinator for Higher Education, you'll be in a fast-paced environment, responsible for delivering a proactive administrative function to the college's HE function.
Our students are at the heart of everything we do.

As such, your work will support students and be crucial in ensuring they have a fantastic higher education experience and a smooth transition to university & other destinations.


It's a varied role, and you'll work closely with the HE Quality & Enhancement manager, curriculum teams, students, as well as our university partners.


As a key part of the new UC team you may take on supervisory duties as we expand and grow our HE provision.


You'll also have time dedicated to CPD and massive scope to learn new skills within both the college's development frameworks and with our HE partners.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative support for the HE Q&E Manager
  • Working with curriculum teams to support students throughout their HE journey
  • Providing the curriculum teaching teams with administrative and regulatory support
  • Issuing invites to relevant staff for selected meetings and exam boards
  • Coordinating grades and working closely with our university partners
  • Championing our commitment to putting students first
  • Promoting our values of fairness, respect & equality

After your first year with us, success would look like:

  • The college is compliant with the HE Quality Code
  • Teaching staff are able to follow the internal HE Quality calendar
  • All students had the necessary regulatory support throughout their student journey
  • All meetings and exam boards accurately minuted and distributed to relevant staff
  • All collaborative partners are provided with the necessary data requirements

Though ideally, you will:


  • Have experience working in an administrative role, preferably within HE
  • Be able to develop systems and processes to improve a service
  • Hold a business administration qualification or have the equivalent experience
  • Have strong understanding of the MS Office suite including Excel
  • Be excited to bring fresh ideas to the table and help us constantly improve
