SENse learning are at the forefront of Alternative Provisions, supporting children and young people to achieve their education goals in a way that works for them.


We are on a mission to ensure no student is left behind, by providing bespoke learning packages for all our students.


Set within the students' own homes and out in the community, our learning packages meet the needs of the individual students in ways which suit them, enabling them to succeed and to learn in ways that they never knew possible.

Some young people's experiences have left them disconnected, rejected and detached from education. We do things differently at SENse Learning.

We're looking for someone with experience working with secondary age students with a specialism or experience in computing.

  • This role provides freedom like no other education role does. As a self employed associate, you'll be able to create a bespoke availability to work when you're able to and enjoy that work life balance that some traditional teacher roles sorely lack.

  • You'll have to dedicated and passionate about helping others achieve their goals.
  • This role requires someone with experience working with secondary age young people.
  • Experience working with young people with complex mental health concerns for several years
  • Experience of working with young people with current self harm concerns
  • Experience of supporting young people during medical crisis/concerns
What will you need to do?

  • Developing strong professional relationships with the children and young people who have complex needs and have often experienced significant difficulties in previous education settings
  • Understand the importance of emotional regulation and can implement strategies to support/model this appropriately.
  • Have detailed knowledge of attachment disorder and how this impacts students.
  • Following the guidance in each person's individual risk assessment/student plan to support them to manage their anxiety and behaviour in a positive way and to keep them and others safe.
  • Utilise a range of strategies in supporting the range of additional needs we work with.
  • Ability to travel between students homes along the coast between Brighton and Worthing.

£18.00-£23.00 per hour
