Infinity Employment are looking for experienced
CNC Turner or Millers for our well established Engineering manufacturing client based in
Leicester.

Job Purpose:

To set and operate machines for production and help other operators when required.

Typical Responsibilities:

To set CNC Milling machines for production within allocated times.
To operate machines making adjustments to the machine settings as required.
To ensure that the quality expectations, as per drawing and planning are achieved.
Ensure that allocated operation times are achieved.
Fill daily activity sheets.
To be aware of and observe personal health and safety, and that of fellow members.
Cooperate with Managers.

Education & Experience:

Evidence of setting and operating experience on turning alloy steels.
Must be conversant with FANUC controls to make routine adjustments.
Must be competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Must be conversant with the use of inspection instruments, to measure diameter, surface texture, roundness, concentricity etc.
Knowledge of good machine shop practices.
Evidence of communicational knowledge of the English language, sufficient to comprehend health and safety instructions / training.
Good overall health and fitness; as expected to handle components weighing 20kgs.
Tolerance of some contact with metal cutting fluids used in the process (absence of known acute sensitivity, to these fluids).

Training:

At the management's discretion, some of the following training may be offered.

Jib Crane
Hand Truck
Manual handling

Personal Protective Equipment:

Overalls
Safety Glasses
Safety shoes / Boots
Ear protection, Hand Gloves and Masks if required.

Working Pattern:

37.5 hours per week

Five day week

Monday to Friday
Day Shift, 08:00 to 16:00 / Afternoon Shift £12.2 16:00 to 24:00 / Night shift, 24:00 to 08:00 £12.25 and then £14.25 once permanent
Overtime as required

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
£12.25-£14.25 per hour
