A fantastic new opportunity as a full time Assistant Accountant based in Didsbury.

This is a temporary to permanent role with an hourly rate between £ £21.00 on offer, with hybrid working and flexible hours.

My client is a Not for Profit, housing organisation based in South Manchester. They are a committed local housing company and are passionate about providing excellent homes and customer care. My client manages homes across the North West and Cheshire, providingservices for tenants, residents and the wider community.


Description
The key responsibilities of an Assistant Accountant will include, but may not be limited to;

  • Prepare monthly financial reports
  • Reconcile monthly development monitoring report to ledger balances
  • Prepare the accounting information
  • Manage cash flow, banking, and treasury aspects
  • Review of bank reconciliations
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly corporate cash flows
  • Create payments and new beneficiaries
  • Review development scheme appraisals and approve acquisitions
  • Prepare management and statutory Accounts
  • Assist in the production of final accounts
  • Assist in the preparation of Component Accounting records for development schemes
  • Assist budget holders to operate an effective system of electronic purchase order and invoicing

Profile
The successful Assistant Accountant must possess the following skill set and experience;

  • Assistant Accountant or Management Accountant background
  • Ability to travel to Didsbury
  • Able to effectively use Excel speadsheets
  • Not for Profit and Charities background OR Housing Association experience
  • Excellent telephone and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Part Qualified
  • Background with preparing budgets, management accounts, statutory accounts and cash flows
  • Willing to take responsibility for own training and selfdevelopment
