Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Technician to join our team.

As an Animal Technician, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to the animals in our facility.

This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals with a passion for animal welfare and veterinary care.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform daily tasks related to the care and wellbeing of animals, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring their health
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians or supervisors
  • Assist with handling and restraining animals during examinations or procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of animal health, behavior, and any treatments or observations
  • Clean and sanitize animal enclosures, equipment, and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Provide enrichment activities to promote mental stimulation and socialization for animals
  • Assist with the transportation of animals within the facility

Experience:


  • Previous experience working with animals in a professional setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of basic animal care practices and procedures
  • Familiarity with veterinary terminology and medical treatments is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Comfortable with heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as some animals may require assistance

Salary:
£15.00-£19.00 per hour


Experience:

Animal Care: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (required)
- knowledge working with Animals (required)
