Working environment

We are currently working with a hybrid working model, where there is the option of working from home combined with 4-12 days a month of working in the office.

About this role:

With mental health in the spotlight, this is a key time for us to make a significant impact on young people's mental health and expand our audience of young people, adults and professionals.

As our organisation and reach grows, we are now looking for an enthusiastic, Trusts & Grants Officer to join our brilliant team.

We deal directly with our fantastic supporters who fund some of our key projects, as well as researching and contacting potential new ones.

As Trusts and Grants Officer, your primary priority is to generate income for us from trusts and foundations, with 50% of your time dedicated to new business.

You will do this alongside a seven-person team.

If you are organised, love writing, research and communicating, then this could be the role for you.

You may be working in fundraising already and looking for your next step, or you may have developed the skills we are looking for in an entirely different role and you're keen to switch to the charity sector; either way, we'd love to hear from you

About you:

- experience of using written skills to generate engagement
- experience of using databases/organising tools
- the ability to research funders and/or organisations
- the ability to 'make the ask' for funding or involvement
- knowledge/passion for the UK voluntary sector, and an understanding of what trust fundraising involves
- knowledge of and empathy with our mission, aims and values

We hope that you would like to join us at a very exciting stage of our growth and development. You'll be joining a bright, dynamic team who have a passion for supporting our ambitions.

And what's better than enjoying your work in beautiful surroundings and within our offices which are just a stone's throw from the historic Shad Thames and Tower Bridge

Trust & Grants Officer job packOne of our values is: "We celebrate what makes you you - whoever you are, we welcome you and encourage you to be true to yourself".

If you are excited about helping us to achieve our mission, passionate about working at an organisation that puts the lived experience of young people at the heart of everything we do and want to be part of our drive to become a truly anti-racist organisation we want to hear from you

Team profile:

Our fundraising team has been growing steadily over the past 12 months as demand for the support we offer to young people and the trusted adults they turn to increases.

Our supporters know how important it is to reach young people struggling with their mental health before they reach crisis point, especially in this uncertain financial climate.

We hope you do too and want to be part of our movement for change.

Our team size is perfect for someone who wants to experience a breadth of fundraising: we are large enough to offer targeted training and support, and small enough to embrace collaborative working across all aspects of our fundraising activities.

Also, because of our size, each person knows how much impact they are making.

It's pretty special.
From my first day in the YoungMinds fundraising team I felt welcomed, supported and part of something. The team all help one another so much.
