Applications are being sought for psychology graduates who have a 2:1 degree (from a course accredited by the British Psychological Society) with experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams.

Experience of working with people who have had a stroke /neurological condition is also desirable in this role, as well as a high level of communication and organisation skills.

The role will involve the successful applicant working in the community, including both inpatient and community work.

The role will involve both clinical work with stroke survivors and also contribution to other service related activities, supporting the delivery of care to stroke survivors.

The successful applicant would join a team of stroke psychology within the Older Adult and Neurological Conditions Psychology service.

The OA & NC psychologists are a group of psychologists, assistant psychologists and trainees who work into a range of settings (mental health, dementia, stroke, long term neurological conditions).

You would receive weekly supervision as well as informal support and development opportunities.


You will need good communication and organisation skills and ability to work with people experiencing distress, as well as cognitive and communication issues post stroke.

To support the delivery of a stepped care model of psychological care to stroke survivors experiencing cognitive and emotional difficulties post stroke.

Working across different community services and bases requiring frequent travel.

Working closely with qualified clinical psychologists, trainee psychologists and existing Band 5 Assistant Psychologist in service delivery, as well as other professionals

Assisting with service development activities
