Role Purpose
The Assistant will undertake both recruitment and employee administration tasks and will need to be fluid in their approach
, with the ability to support each other during peak times.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Timely processing of all administration associated with the full CLV recruitment lifecycle and the colleague journey for designated areas (i.e. raising a requisition, advertising, shortlisting, interviews and preemployment checks, setting up new starters and amendments to T&C's).
- Provide advice, guidance and support to managers on all recruitment processes including alternatives such as agency workers, casual colleagues, internal transfers and promotions, in line with CLV policies, procedures and current employment legislation.
- Ensure compliance with Home Office requirements, Work Permits & Visas, KCSIE, DBS checks and other necessary regulatory bodies, whilst maintaining all necessary records for
- Process of preemployment medical questionnaires.
- Provide advice, guidance and support to managers on contractual queries and basic ER processes such as flexible working requests, maternity, paternity and adoption cases, in line with CLV policies, procedures and current employment legislation.
- Note taking at ER meetings, local trade union and joint partnership meetings as directed by the Finance Director or Co-Heads.
- Review sickness and other leave data monthly to inform SLT of triggers hit; meetings required and relevant actions to be carried out.
- Support the ongoing development and maintenance of all recruitment and employee admin processes and standard operating procedures (SOP's) so that they are fully documented and up to date.
- Carry out relevant data input on the HR systems, ensuring that records are updated accurately and undertaking data validation as required.
- Review relevant recruitment and employee admin data, metrics and reporting provided by colleagues, to support managers more effectively and to provide a bespoke service as and when required
. - General administrative duties across the school as required in line with grade.

Salary:
£21,228.00-£21,613.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Cramlington, NE23 6BN: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Human resources: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- CIPD (preferred)
