Stores Assistant

£22k (plus overtime) 23 days holiday plus bank hols

Purpose of Role:

The Stores / Logistics Operator will support the laboratories by ensuring samples, stock and materials are in the correct place at the correct time.

The role consists of adhering to several regular delivery schedules.

Weekend working is available and required in line with the need of the business.

Tasks:

All duties to be carried out in accordance with Company policies, Health and Safety and Environmental policies and the Company's accreditation and quality systems.

Transferring stores deliveries from entry to main stores (chemicals and consumables)
Moving waste drums and IBC's into storage, all need to be weighed, strapped and labelled.
Ensure waste skips are correctly filled
Moving samples and glassware between laboratories using the company van
Reclaiming sample residues.
Manage sample and refractory waste (loading lorries using fork lift).
Flux and crucible deliveries (unloading deliveries)
Processing stores deliveries, booking material IN & OUT of the stock control system
Conducting regular stock checks to ensure stock accuracy
Receiving bottled gas deliveries

Duties To ensure all duties are carried out in a timely manner following the frequency chart as advised by supervision and the laboratory is well supported / supplied. Maintaining stock level accuracy.
