Finance Assistant - Temporary Opportunity

Cardiff - Hybrid Working - Immediate Start

Pay Rate £12.02 Per Hour + Holiday Pay
A fantastic opportunity has arisen on the outskirts of Cardiff for an experienced Finance Assistant. Working for a highly prestigious Not-For-Profit Organisation you will support the finance team with the purchase/sales ledger processing.

Ideally you will possess previous experience of working within a transactional environment.

Working as part of a dynamic and friendly finance team, your responsibilities will be varied and it will provide you with great exposure to the world of accounts.

Key responsibilities will include:

1) Processing purchase ledger invoices and ensuring they are paid in a timely manner

2) Statement reconciliations

3) Setting up new supplier accounts

4) Downloading of all bank statements and ensuring any income received is entered accordingly onto the ledger

5) Prepare, record and bank cash and cheques received

6) Maintenance of the sales ledger system

7) Reconciliation of the bank statements

8) Provide cover and support to the wider finance team

Person Specification:

1) Good all-rounder with a previous background within purchase/sales ledger processing

2) Adaptable, confident self-starter

3) A self-starter/ be able to work on your own initiative

4) AAT studier/ working towards

5) Intermediate Excel skills

6) The ability to communicate with all levels of people is vital coupled with an inquisitive mind

7) Car driver is essential due to location
