Procurement Manager

An excellent opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join a major infrastructure company based in Birmingham with a salary up to £45,300 with an additional 15% flex fund.

The Procurement Manager leads procurement strategies across major projects withina public sector environment and leads continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

There are fantastic development opportunities into a Senior Procurement Manager position and beyond over the next few years.

Responsibilities of the Procurement Manager:

Managing procurement activities from identifying business needs all the way through to contract award.
Providing commercial support and decisionmaking across contracts, ensuring that project objectives are successfully delivered.
Ensuring all procurement activity is compliant with the relevant EU and UK legislation.
Building value within the supply chain by building strong and sustainable commercial relationships with stakeholders.

Person Specification of theProcurement Manager:

Understandingof procuring through public sector procurement regulations, such as
Experience of procuring large value complex heavy civils/construction or similar works/services.
Ability to act as a mentor to others to help and support effective performance and development.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Salary:

Up to £45,300 + additional 15% flex fund

This role will be ideal for you if you have previous experience within purchasing and procurement as a Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, Category Manager, Commodity Manager, Senior Buyer or similar.
