Description
**My name is Rachel Turner.

  • I am 32 years old and I identify as female.
  • I have a diagnosis of Autism (Asperger's syndrome) and I experience significant levels of low mood and anxiety.
  • My hobbies are sewing, embroidery and I love learning new things
  • I love indoor plants and gardening.
  • I enjoy cooking and baking and helping others.
  • I am enjoying learning more about being female during my transition.
  • I would like my support to enable and encourage me to be as involved and independent as possible.
  • I would like support to learn new tasks, and my support will include the following:
  • Support to manage my household correspondence and bills
- accompanying me to access the community, attending appointments and other activities, including food shopping, Swimming and cooking. I am part of some LGBT groups in Leeds and enjoy playing an active role in these groups so I would need to accompany me to these support groups
- need support of longer PA shifts giving her some time to herself.

  • Support to liaise with other professionals including my GP, Pharmacist, Dentist, Opticians and Adult Social Care
  • Support with looking after my home and maintaining habitable home environment including helping with light cleaning, bedding change and laundry tasks
- supervising any acute medication I need to take).
- choosing what to wear whilst dressing appropriately for the occasion/weather, laundry and ironing).

  • To support me with practical support with regards to my gender transition including helping me with shopping for clothes and helping to check if they fit well. I need my PA to support me as I want to look more feminine.
  • I need clear boundaries at all times to support me
- without this I can become confused which heightens my anxiety.

  • I like being flexible whether we use a car or public transport, I like to work as a team/you would be working as part of a team Liasing with my other pa
  • 10 hours week days
  • 4 hours weekend
  • Monday anytime
  • Tuesday morning
  • Wednesday anytime
  • Thursday after 2oclock
  • Friday evenings from 5pm
  • Saturday and Sunday adjustable
- flexible/ adjustable times

  • Opportunity to do over time covering holidays/sick days and to accompany me on respite holiday.
- preferred experience in caring for an autistic person, you should have all the training necessary or willing to learn and feel comfortable performing these activities.
