Site Fitter
To carry out site installation of structural steelwork, architectural metalwork as associated with the company's trade to meet client's installation requirements in terms of time, cost and quality.
Responsibilities include:
- Offloading and temporary storage on site of steelwork, fixings and consumables.
- Erection and fixing of steelwork in line with supervisors instruction, site drawings and specification.
- Work safely and have regard for the safety of others on site.
- Report any accidents or "nearmisses" to the Site Manager.
- Wear appropriate 'Personal Protective Equipment' at all times and report any damage or losses of safety equipment to Sites Manager.
- Able read and interpret most drawings
- Use hand tools/burning gear
- Welding
- Use of plant & equipment
Required skills and experience:
- Driving Licence
- CSCS card
- Communication with team & management
Preferred Skills
- CPCS Card (Slinger/Signaller)
- Safety at heights/harness certificate
- IPAF MEWP PAL+ Operators licence
- Competent in use and changing of Abrasive Wheels
- Alloy Towers certificate
- Competent in Manual Handling
- Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental management
Salary
Competitive, dependent on level of experience.
