We are seeking a strong and compassionate leader and manager to step into a maternity cover position for our Children and Young People's Eating Disorder team (CAMHS).


You would be joining a well established team, with robust systems in place and a supportive wider leadership team to work alongside.


You would be joining a wider management team of operational leads who are responsible for a number of CAMHS teams, and who work together closely to support each other.


Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust are commissioned to operate an All Age Eating Disorder Lifespan service which consists of a Children and Young People's (CYP) Eating Disorder service and an Adult Community Eating Disorder Service.

These services, under shared service management, offer care and treatment to individuals with eating disorders, and their families, across the lifespan.

The role has operational management responsibility for the CYP eating disorder team.

You will be working in a hybrid way (mixture of home based and office based). The office base is in Aylesbury.

  • To take overall management responsibility for all aspects of service delivery and operational matters for the CYP Eating Disorders Service
  • To work closely alongside the Operational Lead for the Buckinghamshire Adult Eating Disorders Service in order to provide an effective all age lifespan eating disorder service for patients.
  • To ensure that agreed standards and performance measures are met and there is a continuous drive towards service improvement and risk reduction
  • To be responsible for the coordination and management of the teams in providing a safe, effective and therapeutic clinical team ensuring the delivery of high quality community mental health care packages
  • To be responsible for working closely with clinicians and professionals and support staff within the service to audit outcomes and promote best practice.
  • Work towards a culture where services are seamlessly integrated.
  • To develop robust interagency relationships with, Children, Young People and Families services, relevant adult services and other key agencies, supporting the development of integrated care pathways and locality working.
  • To ensure all patients and Carers are included in all the work we do and structures are developed to incorporate users at all levels

The CYP Eating Disorder Service is a Pathway within the Buckinghamshire Child Adolescent Mental Health Service.


The aim of the CYP ED service is to promote and provide rapid support and treatment for young people and families experiencing eating disorders.

The service aims to restore physical health and psychological wellbeing in a safe and collaborative manner.

The CYP ED team is a well-established, highly skilled and friendly team to work within. The team pride's itself in its positive culture and well functioning multidisciplinary team (MDT) way of working. The MDT consists of clinicians from a range of specialisms including psychology, nursing, dietetics, family therapy and psychiatry. We see securing a highly skilled leader and manager as key to the effective functioning of our service.


This team is regularly complimented on its high level of expertise, commitment to patient care and its fun and friendly culture.
