Commercial Quality Auditor

Location:
Hybrid + working from a number of BCA Remarketing sites

Salary:
Up to £45,000 per annum + car allowance or company car

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.30pm

The Role


The primary purpose of this role is to actively audit and monitor the commercial decisions made on vehicles across inspection and estimate processes to positively influence the CPU across the business.

You will also make decisions to authorise vehicles or move to OOP based on margin and profitability.

Continual improvement and training of the front-end inspection team to ensure decisions for OOP or selections are being made in the most commercially effective manner possible.


Key objectives of this role are to maintain low levels of both CPU and OOP whilst maximising the average margin per vehicle.


Responsibilities

  • Duties will include but not be limited to;
  • Responsible for authorising new and returned vehicles using margin information to make the most commercially viable decision for the business
  • Monitoring margin based KPIs and implementing actions accordingly to support the reduction of CPU and OOP whilst increasing average margin across the business
  • Responsible for making decisions on OOP vehicles based on available margin and risk information
  • Auditing front end inspection process at remarketing sites and identifying areas for improvement to prevent selections of nonviable cars or OOPing viable ones
  • Providing support for continuous improvement of the process and training to inspectors
  • Auditing front end processes and estimation at refurb sites to identify areas for improvement and to prevent overworking/ underworking vehicles
  • Audit and verify most cost effective repair methods are being employed on refurb sites, and liaise with the site teams to adjust work packages as required
  • Actively following up on output and actions from audits undertaken to ensure corrective actions are effectively in place
  • Monitoring OOP rate at front end inspection, making final decisions and implementing improvements as needed to improve KPI trend

Skills and expertise

  • Full UK Driving License
  • Skilled user of Microsoft packages including Excel
  • Good understanding of cosmetic / mechanical methods
  • Competent auditor
  • Experience in data analysis and interpretation, particularly around the commercial viability of the vehicle
  • Competent to manipulate and interpret data
  • Experience using 8D or six sigma problem solving methods
