It allows farmers to maximise their crop yield, increase quality and improve soil structure with one simple product.

Excited by the work of a Start-up, but looking for the stability of a large profitable organization? We have an opportunity for you as a corporate entrepreneur in our AA Crop Nutrients Demand Generation Studio.


AACN Demand Generation Studio is where we test and build the next generation new business models in the food and agriculture space with polyhalite at its core.


Join us as an Associate for Value Chain Partnerships, where you will focus on supporting the Value Chain Partnerships Lead in generating global and regional food value chain partnerships, and support on the development of new business to market Crop Nutrients products and services.


You'll be responsible for both leading market research across multiple partners / sectors, as well as driving a sub-set of the existing Partnerships across the Global Food System.

We're looking for people who can work as part of a matrix team in a corporate, as well as show "hustle" and the willingness to get things done in a fluid, agile environment.


Your duties will include:


  • Support in the creation and delivery of the strategy for the initiative, further developing the value proposition to ensure a strong USP and product marketfit
  • Build on the success of our existing partnerships managing programme delivery, supporting the development of future expansion strategy to drive further collaboration
  • Be able to delegate for the Value Chain Partnership Lead in internal and external meetings
  • Across a sub set of the partner group (either market or channel) develop new strategic partnerships with mission aligned companies, domain expert institutes, across areas such as decarbonization, regenerative agriculture, soil health and sustainable crop nutrition
  • Conduct indepth market research and keep an upto date registrar on the downstream players' sustainability initiatives, consortiums, collaborations and deals
  • Support the cross functional team in developing marketing pitches for prospective customers and partners
  • Identify, articulate, test and validate downstream value chain partners engagement models
  • In partnership with Regions and Commercial Strategy, develop financial models to evaluate business opportunities and associated market sizing
  • Support in the negotiation and execution of Memorandum of Understandings with customers and partners
  • In partnership with the regional Agronomy and Science and Solutions teams, design and manage the project pilots as appropriate
  • Further develop the Partnership PMO function; and independently produce regular progress reports and milestones management reports
  • Coordinate AACN internal functions as appropriate (Agronomy, Sciences and Solutions, Marketing, Finance, etc.)
  • Participate in conferences and attend roundtables

Qualifications:


  • Masters in scientific or innovation discipline

Knowledge and experience required:


  • Background in business development / commercial strategy. Knowledge of the downstream food value chain would be a plus
- (Desirable) a live and accessible network of industry contacts within the downstream food value chain in the following functions: sustainability, innovation, agronomy, ventures, strategy, procurement
- (Desirable) Experience in designing and negotiating contracts (partnership/collaboration agreements, commercial agreements, MoUs, technology evaluation)

  • Demonstratable knowledge of Partnership / Business Development processes nuances
  • Intimate understanding of the earlystage commercialization process acquired through previous exposure to startups/commercial project
- (Desirable) Technical understanding of the business model canvas, business model incubator and its associated innovation frameworks is desired

  • Ability to support in the formulation of a strategy, translate it into actions and execute
  • The commercial competency to be able to do some of the initial, founderled sales for the businesses
  • Sound business judgment, with the ability to anticipate firm needs and identify and implement practical, realistic solutions
  • Project management skills
  • Profic
