Do you want to be part of the change we're bringing to mental health support?We have a unique opportunity for a community mental health practitioner to join Northpoint. This role will involve working across Leeds to offer brief interventions to those within the community mental health service.
You will join us on a permanent basis working 35 hours per week and in return, you will receive a competitive salary.

We deliver effective mental health support, and aim to improve the mental health system within the local area. We pride ourselves on being professional, responsive, collaborative and transparent.What you will be doing as our community mental health practitioner:
You will sit within the community mental health team as part of the brief intervention pathway.
You will help individuals to set goals in relation to their mental health, and will be able to offer up to 12 sessions to reach these goals.
The role will also involve identifying opportunities to support individuals with their mental health by helping them to access appropriate community support.
Key to the role will be the ability to utilise psychological formulation, such as constructing meaning out of mental distress, care planning, managing risk and build trusting relationships whilst motivating individuals to make sustained changes.
- Experience of undertaking specialist holistic mental health assessment, risk assessment and formulation, and can demonstrate that these skills are maintained.
- At least two years' experience of working in a mental health setting with clients presenting with multiple and complex issues.
- Experience of delivering appropriate therapeutic, risk management and relapse prevention interventions in a timelimited manner, to clients with common mental health problems, in line with professional standards and service protocols.
- Able to build and maintain relationships with others both internal and external to the organisation whilst maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
- Evidence of a positive and proactive attitude, motivated and solutionfocused.
- Demonstrate a commitment to enabling and empowering clients to become actively involved in their own wellbeing.
- Commitment to the principles of inclusivity, equality and diversity, demonstrated in practice.
