An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cardiovascular and Thoracic care group for a ward clerk. The post holder will provide a comprehensive administration service as part of a team of ward clerks.This is a very busy role and we are therefore looking for someone enthusiastic and excited to take on a new challenge.
You will work within one of our busy Cardiovascular or Thoracic specialties to facilitate the smooth running of the patient journey by ensuring that coordinated and streamlined administrative processes revolve around the patient and their individual needs.
We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills - both in person and over the telephone, the ability to work well under pressure and a desire to provide a first class service for patients and clinical teams.

Your Responsibilities
What you'll do
In this role, you'll be responsible for the clerical and admin support to the wards under the Cardiovascular and Thoracic care group supporting clinical staff and answering telephones.
You will be self-motivated, able to manage your own workload and work well in a team.
You will file patients notes, collect stationery, and keep the hospital IT systems up to date with patient location.
