Zachary Daniels Finance are proud to be partnering exclusively with a market leading business services group to appoint a Group Finance Manager.

The group is a privately owned and entrepreneurial SME market leader which has shown strong & resilient performanceduring recent times, geared to double in turnover in coming years.


About the role


Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, this is a senior position within the business and will run finance on a day to day basis.

The role holder will have full responsibility of group reporting, management accounts, group consolidation and theprovision of key performance information to the entire business.

This role will also include management of the small finance team based primarily in Warrington but also across other business divisions across the UK.


Key responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the running of the finance function day to day
  • Management of small finance team
  • Ensuring accurate, timely and first class Statutory & Group reporting
  • Ownership of balance sheet management as well as advocating best practice and continuous improvement of processes, controls, alongside proper management of tax affairs
  • Group consolidation and group management accounts
  • Management of key external relationships incl. banking, legal, compliance, insurance etc.
  • General finance support on ad hoc projects as and when required

Person profile

  • Qualified accountant (preference for a practice background)
  • Post qualified expeirence in industry desirable
  • High intellect, excellent commercial understanding, first class communication
  • Strong leader, high level of gravitas to challenge effectively and develop finance teams
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and always deliver
