Reed Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in a secondary school setting.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the learning and development of students, as well as working closelywith teachers to provide additional assistance in the classroom.


Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one or small group support for students who require additional assistance in their studies.

Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons, including setting up equipment, preparing resources, and working with students on individual tasks.

Support the teacher in monitoring and managing the behaviour of students in the classroom.
Liaise with parents and other staff members to provide regular feedback on student progress and any concerns.
Contribute to the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities, such as after-school clubs and educational trips.


Requirements:

Experience working with young people in a teaching or mentoring capacity.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students from a range of backgrounds.
Knowledge of current education practices and an interest in keeping up-to-date with new developments.
Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work as part of a team.
An understanding of safeguarding practices and a commitment to promoting the welfare of young people.
