We are proud to be supporting a fantastic Mainstream Secondary School near St Ives, Cambridgeshire which is looking to appoint experienced 1:1 Tutors to work by negotiation on a casual basis, some hours in school time, and some twilight sessions 3.

1:1 Tutor Responsibilities:


  • Plan and deliver bespoke education for students 1:1 or within a small group.
  • To teach core Subjects at KS3 and 4 levels effectively and creatively across the age and ability range, working 1 to 1 with students or in small groups, in the Achievement Support area, or at the student's home.
  • Identifying clear teaching objectives and learning outcomes. Sharing these with the learner and assessing the impact and effectiveness.
  • Work in partnership with, peers, parents, and carers to ensure the best possible platform is given.

1:1 Tutor Requirements:


  • Be committed to striving for the best outcome for the young students you work with.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Unqualified tutors with the right experience may be considered.
  • Supporting young people with complex needs.
  • Approachable and have the needed attributes to engage with students.
  • Available on a casual basis, some hours in school time, and some twilight sessions 3.15pm 5pm.
  • Must be commutable to areas near St Ives, Cambridgeshire.
