Role Objective:


  • Contribute to the efficiency of the hire fleet production team's repair operation and output targets.
  • Monitor and act upon stock control systems and processes to ensure inventory levels meet demand and maximize productivity.
  • Coordinate parts orders and facilitate parts requests from Production.

Accountability:


  • Accountable for parts requisitioning and hire fleet stock control.
  • Authority to manage regular expenditure for the purchase of parts, consumables, and ancillary equipment for the Hire Fleet.

Main Purpose:


  • Coordinate with the Hire Fleet Production Team to achieve vehicle maintenance goals through timely parts requisitioning and stock control processes.
  • Maintain working relationships with team members and line managers.
  • Review suppliers and stock levels to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
  • Process stock or part receipts and returns.
  • Deliver parts or ancillary equipment to technicians' work areas as needed.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Unpack and check parts for damage.
  • Input receipted parts into prescribed IT systems.
  • Prepare parts packs for technicians to improve efficiency.
  • Conduct stocktaking and compile or provide stock data for audits.
  • Maintain a working stock of parts and commodities to ensure operational availability.
  • Carry out parts demands process and gain approval for demands requiring budgetary authority.
  • Handle consumable demands to maintain a working stock.
  • Conduct parts receipt process, keeping accurate records and identifying discrepancies.
  • Handle returns or disposals of damaged or waste commodities.
  • Provide cover for similar positions within the business when necessary.

Other Duties:


  • Actively engage in selfdevelopment and team meetings.
  • Lead by example and promote positive attitudes.
  • Represent the values and culture of the Group.
  • Advise line manager of areas requiring additional training.
  • Undertake any reasonable duties as indicated by Line Manager or Seniors.

Knowledge and Experience:


  • Sound knowledge of motorcycle parts.
  • Experience in businesstobusiness dealing and database use.
  • Previous experience in a store, warehouse, or parts environment.
  • Polite, confident, and professional communication skills.
  • Strong computer and IT literacy, including MS Office and databases.
  • Accurate administration and organizational skills.
  • Problemsolving ability and strong communication skills.
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude and ability to work well in a team.
  • Motorcycle experience is desirable.
