An exclusive opportunity has arisen within an organisation that services leading families and entrepreneurs across the globe.

The organisation has an excellent reputation and have some exciting plans to grow within this current close-knit team based in Guernsey.


Purpose of Role:

The role will be responsible for compliance issues relating to the relevant businesses in Guernsey.


They will be required to act as Compliance Officer, Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and Money Laundering Compliance Officer for the operational entities based in Guernsey.


Elements:


  • Oversee the regulatory requirements for the company's licensed entities in Guernsey including their conduct of business requirements, fees and licensing, breach reporting, the submission of financial and regulatory returns, regulatory developments, KeyStaff authorisation, regulatory liaison, Compliance monitoring and the prevention of money laundering
  • Be a trusted adviser to the business on matters of AML and regulatory compliance importance.
  • Represent the best interests of the business on industry forums, trade body working groups and government consultations.
  • Play an active role in the development, implementation and testing of local and business unit compliance and AML policies and procedures.
  • Participate in risk and compliance committees and ensure the interests of the Guernsey entities are properly represented.
  • Liaise closely with other team members, and the broader Group, and seek to ensure that Compliance and AML processes are aligned.
  • Have at least five years' experience in a Fiduciary businessbased Compliance role, ideally as a Compliance officer or MLRO.
  • Have a genuine interest in financial services laws and regulations and be able to inspire confidence in others. Believe in and promote a positive compliance culture.
