About the role and our team
Join our small, supportive team as an Employer and Contractor Technical Caseworker within Treasury


This is a great opportunity for you to join a busy Department who support employers and contractors to meet their tax obligations.


Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of employers and contractors
  • Responding to technical referrals
  • Categorising selfemployed taxpayers
  • Carrying out off site compliance visits
  • Reviewing noncompliant employers and contractors to minimise risk
  • Corresponding with other areas, such as Social Security Division, regarding National Insurance


This role will also involve an element of coaching, mentoring and training Administrative Officers, although you won't have any direct reports.


We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, who's able to assimilate technical information and with successful experience within a payroll or finance based organisation.
