About the roleThe Councils Control and Contact centre links residents living in sheltered housing and in the community who have an alarm system in Corby.

The main role of the Casual Control and Clerical assistant is to respond verbally to those calls made via pullcords, pendants and Vitalink equipment and take decisive action to assist.

The post Holder will report to the Support Services Manager
This role is casual and shifts available span over a 7 day 24 hour period 365 days per year.

Shifts available or requiring cover may include the following:
6-2pm 2-10pm 10pm - 6am
6-10am 10-2pm 2-5pm 5pm-10pm
Salary Range £12.70 per hour

What will you be doing?Control and Clerical Assistants undertake a variety of tasks including responding to emergency contact centre calls, liaising with on call support staff, recording out of hours emergency repairs and contacting relevant tradesmen, accurately recording reports and responses on IT systems and completing general clerical duties associated with working in a busy office.

About youThe ideal applicant will be a flexible, confident, articulate and enthusiastic individual.
Following your training you will working on your own.

You must have the ability to communicate effectively in a calm and tactful manner as well as being committed to high standards of customer care in order to deliver a quality service.

All systems are fully computerised and applicants should therefore possess good information technology/ keyboard skills.
