Person required to work within a family home supporting complexed care needs and some challenging behaviour.


Within the home there are a number of individuals requiring care and support, the first being a 2 year old young man who is autistic and has epilepsy requiring 2 to 1 support at all times.

Mum can require additional support from staff as required.


Additional prompts are required for a second young man within the home who is still of school age, requiring prompts for personal care, eating and drinking.

To support with life skills in and away from home and to promote independence on a person centred basis.

Varied activities include walking, swimming, baking and trips out, no day is the same. The applicant should provide a pro active mind-set towards planning and finding new activities to promote social interaction.

Duties within the home can include light domestic and laundry duties, cooking skills, administering medication, assisting with food shopping.


A flexible approach to this role would be advantageous, in being able to work hours to suit the support needs of the home and cover sickness and holiday hours.

A clean full driving license, and business insurance Would be an advantage

Nvq1 or care certificate would be an advantage but all training can be provided for the right applicant. There is a fuel allowance available of 45 pence per mile

£12.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
